Bling it out!

At Stampotique designer challenge France ask us to use some bling in our project, not easy as I am more the rusty type but why not I tried it too…

As France is our hostess, so I thought I am going to use a technique that I learnt from her, so I didn’t take photos of the process of the background, it’s her technique and if you would like to learn how to create something like that please take a look at her fabulous videoΒ just click the link. The changes I made, I used transparent gesso to cover my texture paste, I used rich gold pan pastel to resist, and of course instead of numbers I used hexagons. When my spread was ready I added some stamping with France’s design cube (#10012) with embossing ink and I added some copper embossing powder those are the little dots you see on my spread.

I used Clover (#6086) for my photo with Encore gold ink on black card stock. I cut my frame with ornate frame die from Sizzix. I coloured my frame with tea stain spray that I made myself and added to it some art sugar to make it bling. After assembling my photo and my frame I added some glitter mixed with art sugar round my picture.

On the other side I added some silver cord and a piece of scrap left over that I stamped with France’s splattered mug (#10017) stamp for some texture. I applied a 7 dots studio sticker on it that says “pictures from the past”. I fastened my scrap with silver brads.

Sorry for the irregular post and not sharing technique this time, but credit goes to France, and I would like you to visit her and watch her tutorials. Thanks. There’s no better than to learn from the Masters.
