And I am still in the mood. You know the Halloween mood. This time with a card: Happy Halloween!
At Vintage Journey challenge #17 is all about dies, or at least one day. I chose two, one is Apothecary bottles (#658715) and the second one is Cobweb blueprint (#659371). I was inspired by Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014 october edition for the background and his alcohol ink colouring technique for the bottles.
First I cut my bottles from acetate sheet and coloured them with alcohol ink.
Till they were drying I was cutting the bottles from white craft paper and the corks I embossed with pumice stone embossing powder. Then I distressed the corks with distress ink.
I was getting my background ready, first I stamped the spin from the cobweb blueprint on top of my card and embossed it with black embossing powder. I cut the spider from acetate with the matching Framelits die. I covered my embossed spider with the acetate one. I used texture paste with Tim Holtz Halloween stencil. When it dried I removed my acetate cover and I sprayed my card with distress stain sprays.
I applied my acetate layer of bottles on my craft paper bottles. On my biggest bottle I stamped a skull with Stazon from Stampers Anonymous CMS 063.
I wanted another layer between my bottles and my background. So I embossed a white craft sheet with Sizzix embossing folder and I distressed it with old linen distress ink, I stamped on it splattered mug stamp (CMS 063) with archival ink. The edge I distressed and I added brushed corduroy distress ink for aged look. I assembled my card.
The ‘happy halloween’ sign was also cut from Cobweb blueprint Framelits.
I am sharing my card with:
