Over at Stampotique designer’s challenge this week Kay asked us to keep it crisp with black and white and a pop of a color. So here’s my card:
I chose Daniel Torrente’s Angelboy and with France Papillon’s text, it seemed to fit each other and the crisp color schema. First I stamped Angelboy with black archival ink and than I trimmed him. I used red archival ink to stamp the text: “you’re strong enough, you just don’t know it yet”. I trimmed the text and I added washi tape (red with white dot’s) as a frame.
I used Sizzix honeycomb die and cut a decoration stripe from black cardstock. I added the honeycomb under my text on my card. I arranged some black hexagon shapes around Angelboy. I made the hexagon shapes pop with red marker. And Finally I added with Giaconda red chalk shadow to Angelboy. Here are the details:
Hope you like creating black/white and one pop of a color if so why don’t you join the Stampotique designer’s challenge this week?
Ruth, your card is just awesome! I don’t have (but love) Angelboy, but I do have that wonderful sentiment by France. I also have the honeycomb die and love using it. You have created perfect embellishments by using those bits from the cut and by highlighting the with your red marker. Chalking Angelboy was pure genius! Thanks so much for submitting your great work again at the Stampotique Designers’ Challenge! It is always inspiring to me!
Thank you for your kind words Kay! It’s a pleasure to join the challenges every week 🙂
Angelboy is the last stamp i purchased from Stampotique and haven’t used him yet, thank you for such fabulous inspiration!
Wonderful card, fabulous sentiment and great chalking:-) xxx
Angelboy was on my wish list for a while, but I decided I can’t without him, loved creating with him. xoxo
Love those wings! And the idea that you are strong enough to fly, if only you would believe it 🙂
That’s right Tracy, we can all fly if only we’d believe it! 😉
Mmm – love the black with the red – especially love the red shading it looks awesome. The words are resonating with me right now too 🙂
Just believe… funny that we had the same in head just different images 😉 xoxo
