Today morning I took my son to school, and I realized that spring time is at our door. As I walked down the street I saw the first little green signs on the trees, even somehow the grass looked greener. So I got a blooming green mood.
I took some pieces of old map and I made a collage on a canvas. I pulled out my gelli plate and I monoprinted green on my collage in different shades from yellowish green to light green and finally dark green. I found some pieces of acrylic skin with green and I just had to apply it. The orange gave me even more the feeling of spring. I made some paper flowers of course in the color of green! I added some more stuff till I felt satisfied with my green creation. I decided I love the color of green. Here is a close up:
I am adding it to Inspiration avenue’s weekly challenge: green art and to Inspiration Emporium’s monthly challenge: a splash of color!
So creative! I love the texture and colors in this collage. Thanks for sharing at Inspiration Avenue!
Thank you Maggie!
great canvas, what are the green and orange lines, looks like puffy paint? and I need to do some research on acrylic skins.
The green and orange lines are the “acrylic skin”. Take a page protector, draw or paint anything, let it dry overnight, cover it with a layer or tar gel medium, let it dry for another day, peal it of from the page protector… ready to play for collages 😉 one remark: it’s fragile after it’s dry!
Gorgeous collage wonderful work in texture and color…great job.
