Imagination is the golden pathway to everywhere – said Terence McKenna and what better way to give wings to your fantasy to fly through your pathway, to take a journey and to land right at your destination. That’s what came into my mind reading those words and as usual I needed to put it into my journal to remind myself to fly.
So buckle up and enjoy the flight with me. I was beginning with a simple scrap collage on my spread.
Next I added some stamping with a butterfly stamp in espresso truffle colour.
That seemed simply to flat, so I decided to add some dimensional texture mixing some soft gel with art sugar through a stencil.
Now I wanted some colour, so I used bister and ecoline (green and vermilion).
I used an old image from Wizard of Oz, and I gave Judy Garland wings with Sizzix layered wings die.
Then I thought that my wings needs to be more magical, and I used some golden mica flakes on them. I also added my sentiment on a 7 dots studio element and some found objects.
Here is a close up on the magic going on:
And another close up on the texture:
Hope you enjoyed the flight, maybe you got wings by yourself as well…
