Twenty – fifteen

2015 – twenty fifteen – ’15… just practicing to write it down. Every year it takes a month till I get use to writing the right year. So this time I was beginning at the very first moments of the new year, actually this spread was ready just a bit after midnight:

I used a tissue wrap that I gelli printed as a background in my altered book. As on the last day of the year I just got some new Prima marketing fluid chalk edgers, so of course I had to try them immediately. I applied some at the edges.

You see that edge, that’s farmer jeans. Of course I need to try to pull some lines on that circles, so I took metallic carbon and randomly striped. At the corners I applied some texture paste through one of my stone wall stencils from Prima.

Then I had a circle scrap piece, actually it is the middle of my weathered clock from the former post. So I used it to stamp Daniel’s Angel stamp (#6093) on my circle centre piece with metallic yellow. I shaded the edges with the same farmer jeans edger and applied a simple lace on it. I used an other gelli print for my tag and the scrap collage underneath.

First practice was to set my date stamp to 2015, managed! Of course Angel’s hair asked for some embellishments and as an Angel she must have a star, doesn’t she?

Finally just to remind myself I cut from scrap left-over 2015 with Sizzix Alphanumeric die.

Happy and creative New Year everyone! 2015 – ready, set, go….. Hope you stay tuned and enjoy the this year with me.

I am sharing my spread with Stampotique designers’ challenge Anything goes week 5.

Gorgeous background – on my ‘phone I saw a cityscape whilst here I see water and reflections and then forest. Fluid chalk edgers – I don’t know these, but sounds and looks like I should definitely have them! Happy New Year!

Great way to commemorate the first day of the year, Ruth! I usually have the same problem remembering the new date, but for some reason this year I don’t! Happy 2015! (See, I remember!)
