The journey awakens the soul

I think I am continuously on a journey, an art journey. I am experimenting, trying, sometimes taking some sidewalks than again back to my main route. All and every creation on my way comes from my soul, expresses feelings or thoughts. All these expressions or interpretations are shaking my soul up and up again bringing it into a totally new levelΒ each time opening my eyes to new and exciting things. My steps during my art journey definitely awakens my soul.

This time I worked on canvas in my handmade art journal. First I coloured my piece of canvas with bister and Lindy’s stamp gang sprays.

Then I added some stitching:

I was beginning to play with some stamps using black gesso:

When I was ready I stamped my sentiment (Stampers Anonymous CMS063) on a piece of card stock and I distressed the edges. I applied some thread under my sentiment:

I used a printed canvas fringe to cut circles and I added wooden buttons on top of my circles as embellishments. I stitched the buttons and the circles on my canvas.

And some more details:

Hope you enjoyed the journey on the canvas sidewalk this time. Stay tuned if you would like to see where the next path takes me!

I am sharing my journal spread with Journal 52 prompt circles.
