The countdown – day 4

De Craftorij in the Netherlands has a fantastic end year celebration, a countdown of 10 days, when we can play around, get ideas. So today is day 4 and actually we had already 4 pretty different challenges. This time we needed to make some snowflakes with hot glue gun and glitters. So here is my glitter version:

I used distress glitters (fired brick and stormy sky). It all begins with a simple sketch on paper. Here are my snowflake designs:

Just roughly on a piece of white paper with marker:

And then place your sketches under a heat resistant transparent surface. Use your hot glue gun and make some masks. When they cooled off used some soft gel or mod podge and drizzle some glitter around.

And as you know I love experimenting so I had to try it with glass glitter as well, the texture is amazing:

If you want to check what the De Craftorij has to offer to you don’t forget to visit their online store. And if you feel like playing around why don’t you join the Facebook group and make your own creation, there is time till midnight!
