Winter wishes

Closing up and nearly there vacation time, love winter vacation, always ready to make wishes, I would like to have snow, I would like to spend it in the mountains (by the way we have quiet nice ones), and I would like to ski… every year I make that wishes, at the end I finish up with a bit of a skating and a nice warm chico by the special winter bar of ours. So do you have any winter wishes? I made a tag to remind myself then one year maybe… I was inspired by Tim Holtz december tag.

The original inspiration you can find it here with step by step instructions. Now comes my twist. The first step was pretty much the same using distress paint (picket fence) and distress stain sprays:

Then I used only one snowflake stamp from CMS 052 with archival ink:

I used yellow card stock and alphanumeric die to create my “wishes”:

I used also frosted, the non sticking one and embossed it with the snowfall embossing folder, but somehow my on the craft mat I didn’t manage to make a photo, have no idea if you can see how it is embossed on this photo:

Maybe a bit, there’s going to be a close up where you can see it a bit better. Then I used again my CMS 052 set this time the cute little deer, I stamped it with one distress ink and I distressed the edge with the other one (my combo was brushed corduroy and walnut stains). When it dried I applied some glue and seal and I sprinkled some clear candy rock distress glitter over it.

It was so cute that at the end I finished it with a fragile little silver bow. Okey let’s take a closer look at the details. I added some stitches to hold my frosted plastic onto my tag. At the bottom I added silver painted edge that comes from the Vintage lace die (#657481). Under the leg of my deer there are some winter greens, they were cut from distress stain sprayed water-colour paper with Festive Greenery die (#657467).

The Upper part got a snowflake embellishment and a grey canvas ribbon:

Oh and my text winter was written with black enamel accents on my tag.

I would like to share my tag with:

Fabulous tag and I noticed the embossing straight away. The colours have the feel of a sunny, but snowy, winter’s day. Love the glittery reindeer. As you know, I too wish for snow and I have never skied, but would love to try ๐Ÿ™‚
