Yes, as you can see I am a busy mother as well. I love spending time with kiddos, especially if it comes to crafting. I adore their gorgeous ideas, the way they can design, and then when we pull out supplies, how they end up with totally something else. So it happened again. As Xmas time is closing up, in my son’s school they organise a Xmas fair. Every class can have a stand and the kids can sell whatever they create, the income goes for their end-year school trip. So during the week there were a lot of planning, finally today they could dig into my supplies and try to create. Well of course a bit of a help and guiding, but I loved their idea. There is a nice amount ready, hope they will have success with them. It is still 2 weeks till the fair. So here comes the first design:
They used my Sizzix Big shot to cut Cameo frame shapes from colourful felt. On these particular ones, there are wooden laser cuts, that are painted with white chalk paint and are sewn on the cameo frames. They all filled with wool and there are snowball ribbons as hangers on them. As they liked the size of the cameo frame and the shape of it, they were cutting some more:
Here there was a serious tongue out to create all those bows, and of course to sew them on the frames. Mama was helping only with the stitching together part. Psst, I need to admit I enjoyed those busy bees buzzing around. It brought so much laughing and colour to the table. And as we speak about colour we ended up with a different combo as well:
Well I can say we had a productive day, and taking a break from “serious” crafting was fun time as well.
Fabulous time of your life when you’re able to play in the studio with the children…lucky you, and great results!
Thanks Win, they did a big deal of the job, and the ideas all originals from them this time 🙂
These turned out GREAT. What fun you must have had with the little ones, and they turned out beautiful, too.
Thank you Elizabeth, xox 🙂
Oh these are gorgeous – I would happily take a handful! Especially love the red with the heart…but then there’s the butterfly…and those spotty bows…. 🙂
You should have seen my busy bees, they worked so seriously, hehehe 😉
Great that they came up with their own ideas! Lucky for them to have a crafty mama to help out!
I am always ready for that, I am not really the bake-a-cake type 😉
Fantastic play time Ruth, love the picture you painted of your children poking out their tongues while concentrating:-) xxx
You know that’s the best part to watch, hehehe 🙂
Fantastic quality time, they made pretty bags, they will sell as candy 🙂
Hope so, they want to go for 5 days 🙂
