This week Coby asked us to make an ATC using at least 1 Stampotique stamp for De Craftorij. Dear Coby, I am in big trouble! As you know me, I can’t use only one Stampotique stamp, they just all want to jump into my hand. So I decided to create more then one. And as it is raining here all day long, such a fine little drops that my roof window seems to be crying I made rainy day’s ATCs.
Fly and high and up… so let’s take a look how many stamps are sitting on one ATC. Well first I coloured the backgrounds with distress ink (broken china) just to give a little blueish tint. Then I stamped Magda’s raindrops (#5820) on a book page, I trimmed the bigger drops and applied on my ATCs. I added some shadows with pan pastel around the drops. I distressed my edges with faded jeans distress ink.
Now I needed to add my nature element, Daniel’s Tree (#6112), actually only a branch from it. I stamped it with distress ink and then I embossed it with the matching embossing powder (walnut stain).
I stamped my Birdy up (#4021) with archival ink, coloured them with distress markers and trimmed them. I added them on my ATC with foam tape to create 3D effect.
Then it struck me, my hands were missing my favourite stamp, yes, that one at the side, the one that is so handy, you know, France’s design cube (#10012). I used letter stickers for my words.
I confess: I was a bad girl… I used 4 Stampotique stamps on one little ATC.
Nothing bad here Ruth just pure joy seeing your Rainy ATC’s. Truly spectacular:-) xxx
Oh no, rain is not bad, just somehow towards the winter would be nice to see some white, maybe snow… 😉
I love the rain… 🙂 xxx
me too xox 🙂
How adorable they are! They make my rainy day seem less gloomy. 🙂
Wow that sounds like I achieved my point, thank you Masha! 🙂
You did! 😀
😀
You go, girl – why use one when four will make them delicious? Love them!
Thanks Win 😉 xox
LOVE these. The birds are so cute but what I love most are the bookpage raindrops – genius!
Thanks Susan, I need to use the book pages that are coming from my altered book 🙂
oh my gosh How adorable Ruth!! i really love the letters in the raindrops- such a cool element!! These are just darling my friend! xox
Thanks Jackie, I am trying hard to work on ATCs they seem so small, I still can’t make one 🙂 xox
These are such fun and cute beyond belief – I love them. So appropriate for today when it was raining unbelievably hard and at the same time the weather forecaster was saying ” a dry day in most places!!!”
Hehe, they didn’t promise dry by us, we had a very grey day and it was raining, you now that fine, quiet rain, when everything gets wet, it doesn’t worth to open an umbrella, it is in the air, so I had to do something with the rain 🙂
These are wonderful, so full of life 🙂
Thank you Nigel 🙂
Awww, how cute! Like all three of them!
Thanks Zsuzsa!
Ok, I am just getting back into the swing of things Ruth, so this is late, but I love, love, love these ATC’s!! Those are the cutest stamps!! You did them up right, even if you did use FOUR stamps! LOL Go for it, I say! 🙂 Love them!
Thanks Felicia 🙂 xox
