Today I would like to share with you three ATCs that I made in october on canvas, called Button up:
My ATCs are made on canvas cards, that I sprayed with Glimmer mists. I stamped on them images from Stampers Anonymous with archival ink (jet black).
I loved that theme of sewing and buttons, somehow they are so close to my heart, guess why… I even stitched borders on my canvas ATCs.
On the first one I added a button ribbon, some ephemeras, a rope and of course the buttons.
On the second one I have that button ribbon, some ephemeras, a piece of thread and of course the buttons.
The third one got the rope element with a tag, some ephemeras and the buttons.
I think I am beginning to enjoy creating ATC’s, it is a challenge for me to work on smaller surfaces as you can see I keep creating series out of them. Hope you keep it buttoned up as the cold days are closing on us!

Ruth, these are wonderful! I love the theme! I like buttons as well! I keep buying cool old jars filled with them at antique and flea marts!! I’m sure I have buttons to last the next century!! LOL I just love how they look in the jars and I have been trying to incorporate them more into my arts and crafts! Did you adhere the canvas to the cards? And if so, how do you buy the canvas? Is it in sheets or rolls? Love it! I want to do more ATC’s myself with mixed media. I’ve been using them with Zentangle, but I see that as a whole other ball of wax. Love your creativity my friend! Felicia, canvas I used here was coming in package, cut to 12×12, like a sheet, of course I still need to cut them to the right size, but I like playing around with my things. Of course if I need stretched, I prefer buy it ready stretched. I was stitching my canvas on the cards, so no canvas was harmed during the process 🙂 Buttons are also loved objects by me, I just need to collect them, but I also use them and quiet often 😉
Love the idea of canvas for these little gems! !! Works Wonderful for texture and the way the inks blend is an added bonus!

I really enjoy creating on smaller surfaces, it is harder for me to create on journal sized pages but i try.
