Ghouls

I can’t help, I am still in pumpkin – Halloween mood. At Stampotique designers challenge blog Kristen is asking us to create a spooky project for Halloween. So I decided to make a simple door deco to welcome the trick’nd treaters…

Do I look like a freakin’ people person?#*!

I used Sizzix Pumpkin Jack die to cut my pumpkin from chipboard and from canvas. I applied my canvas on the chipboard with soft gel.

I wanted to add some texture to my pumpkin, so I used some thread on my canvas pieces and some wrinkled tissue paper applying it with soft gel. I coloured my pumping with glimmer mists.

I added some stamping with France Papillon’s design cube and archival ink. I applied some shades with distress ink.

I stamped my text on an old scrap paper and I distressed the edges. I used antique linen distress ink to colourise my Glimmering Hope image. Doesn’t she look like a ghost floating all around? A friendly ghost I meant of course. I assembled my door deco welcome sign and tadaah:

Stampotique stamps:

#10012 design cube France Papillon

#6047 Glimmer Hope Daniel Torrente

#8987 Freakin’ people person Carol’s collection.

Hahaha! LOVE that! It made me think of my neighbor, she told me not to let my kids knock on her door this year. She has the lights off every year but I make my kids knock and ring the doorbell until she comes and gives them something from her pantry! lol

I absolutely love Glimmering Hope, Ruth, and she is perfect for this project. The once-dreaded color orange is not among my favorites, so this is one I really like! Thanks so much for participating in the Stampotique Designers’ Challenge!!
