Gelli printed mandala

Inspiration Avenue’s weekly challenge: mandala

gelli printed mandala

first layer: bright yellow with catalyst tool

second layer: red-blue shattered circles

third layer: geometrical shapes from one color prints (red, pink and blue)

By the way it’s easy to make from any left-over gelli prints, just tear or cut different geometrical shapes and make a design you like. Great as ornaments too!

Of all the Mandalas in the challenge, this is the one that caught my eye: So many mandalas are flat, but the Gelli prints add wonderful visual texture and the overlapping geometrics add great dimension. Simple geometries with lots of punch!
