The senses play a major role in the perception of nowadays communication. And paper is of crucial importance. By giving structure, opacity and surface to designs you can “feel” the message.
It was a day with interesting speakers and exhibitors. One of them was Hattie Newman. She is an illustrator and set maker, based in London. She is specialized in three-dimensional work. Her portfolio consists of both commercial and editorial work and set design, for clients such as Honda, Louis Vuitton, Sony, The Guardian, Macmillan Publishers, Royal Mail, Universal Records, GAP, Condé Nast, French Connection and many others.
She was born in Devon, after studying graphic design at the University of Bristol moved to London, where she discovered the world of set design. Paper is her passion, her 2D and 3D creations, fascinating illustrations, sets and props capture the imagination.
